Blog of a 20 year old Graphic Design student who loves Coffee, Early Mornings, Photography, Illustration, Disney, Leona Lewis, and Michael Jackson.

Okay so, my friend has been trying to get me to do this for a while purely because she thinks it’s hilarious I can mime to Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love and apparently get it spot on.

I don’t do things like this often haha, but I thought it was quite funny. :)

Christina Aguilera - Lift Me Up

I heard this song the other day when I bought the Hope For Haiti album, and I have to say I’ve really started to get into Christina lately. Her voice is amazing, and this song is just incredible. Although I’m going to sound like Simon Cowell here, I love how there’s no gimmicks, it’s just her voice and a simple backing. No dance, nothing over the top.

I’m currently onto my third glass of milk. I could quite happily drink the whole carton. I’m not quite sure why I’m this thirsty, I would most likely be better off drinking water.

Michael Jackson

Okay, I’m going to have to post this because it’s something that’s been bugging me for a while. I feel paranoid being a Michael Jackson fan, I feel almost judged, and it’s not because of him. It’s purely because I feel like people think you’re only a fan because he died, like I’m jumping on the bandwagon or something.

I feel like I have to prove myself as a fan, that I have the need to tell people the first CD I was ever given was BAD, the first CD I ever purchased with my own pocket money (I’d saved up for weeks) was Blood on the Dancefloor, and the fact that the first concert I ever went to was in Wembley Stadium, London where I was seeing him on his HIStory tour. When I say this, I then feel like I’ve gone too far, and people are judging me again.

I’ve been planning on getting a portrait of Mike for a while (being a student doesn’t pay for tattoos I have to admit!). And when people say “why?” , I have to explain that I grew up listening to him and all the above, and it’s something for me to commemorate his life and the amazing music he’s created. I DON’T JUST LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE DIED AND IT’S ‘COOL’.

Sorry, that’s off my chest. I feel a bit better now. Does anyone else get this though?

My favourite Musicians, mostly from the past 10 years. I grew up listening to Mike and Celine though, they’ll always be with me no matter what my age! :)
